 1.What is the significance of the reference to the equivocator in Macbeth? 

•The Play ''Macbeth'' have used equivocation to cover the truth which heightened the emotion effect in readers. 

•Witches have revealed the apparition to Macbeth in ambiguous way. 

•The apparition which boosted his confidence was, "No man born in woman's womb can kill Macbeth". 

•Due to uncovering some truth, witches seems to be trustworthy for Macbeth. 

•Because of the equivocation, Macbeth lead him into his own tragedy without being aware of upcoming consequences. 

2.Critically discuss the significance of the reference to equivocator in Macbeth?

•The presence of equivocator in play 'Macbeth' paved way to Macbeth's own tragic fall. 

•The prophecies of witches stimulated Macbeth to become more ambitious towards sustaining power. 

•Macbeth falls to the prey of equivocator as he is driven by over ambition and greed. 

•The three strange apparitions is the crucial equivocation which transformed play into more chaos. 

•Equivocation is not the sole reason for his tragedy. It is his suppressed hunger towards power which blinded him towards equivocator.

•The presence of equivocator in the play 'Macbeth' has allusion to historical events in England. 

•The drunker porter scene is not solely comic relief. 

•Porter, Macduff's wife mentioning about equivocator has allusion to Henry Garnet's doctrine of equivocation. 

•Witches equivocate all their apparitions but Macbeth did not realise due to power hunger. 

•Every kind of equivocation in this play leads to tragedy in one way or another.
