 1.what is the significance of the reference to the equivocator in Macbeth?

Macbeth is a tragedy play written by Shakespe r in 1623 .It is a subterfuge  and trickery play .between 1598 and 1606 in England there was much talk of equivocation .That time equivocation was on everyone lips .Macbeth was written on that time .Macbeth plays based on equivocator. .An equivocator is a person who tries to mislead through language.

Macbeth equivocates  ; so do the witches ;so does lady Macbeth ;Porter. Equivocation is everywhere ; the atmosphere is thick with it.

1. The character of porter is intended to create a catharsis after the murder of the king .His vision was  anticipation of Macbeth deeds.

2. Equivocator helps  to make dramatic irony and climax

3. witches equivocate their apparitions  and the relevance of the porter.

4. Equivocator plays role like a liar and makes the play more complex

5.the equivocator helps in anticipating the plot

In the conclusion , the equivocator portrait the whole scene in the Macbeth and use of unclear language to conceal the truth . It provides dramatic flow of events to the entire plot.
