            As a language which is considered to be the lingua franca, a masters’ in English would provide ample job opportunities to a person. In this era of globalization, having influence over a language accepted around the world would open up several windows for people. It provides you chances in diverse fields. The excellent writing and communication skills of a postgraduate in English makes them the best candidates for various roles. Their analytical, creative and critical reasoning skills provide them an advantage over others.

            One of the career paths most sought after by a postgraduate in English is teaching. Teaching at college level requires a person to qualify National Eligibility Test(NET). Some of them also decide to do research in the field and pursue Ph.D. A school teacher requires B.Ed. qualification. Teaching English as a foreign language(TEFL) is another option which is not considered by many but which gives you a chance to visit several countries.
